| The group of companies “Belomortrans” is a group of shipping agencies, whose history began in 1991 with establishing Close Joint-Stock Company “Belomortrans” in Arkhangelsk in partnership with North railway, Northern Shipping Company and Arkhangelsk commercial seaport. At the moment there are more than 20 companies in the group, all of them have been working successfully on russian market of international and inland transportation for more than 15 years. During that period there has been formed a unique staff of qualified specialists; the group of companies has amassed a wealth of experience, that helps to provide a wide range of services: the company forwards cargo of different types, starting with house/house delivery of cargo that weighs 1 kg within the service of package freights and small freights and ending with transportation of a load, wider than prescribed limit, that weighs up to 300 t, in conditions of the Far North. Besides forwarding services, companies of the group provide a range of related services – such as customs processing, freighting of vessels and ship’s agency services, fleet and harbor service operating, ship chandler and surveyor services, consolidation services and warehousing of cargo. During the last years our group has been actively involved in transportation support of oil-gas companies, working on the territories of continental coast and the shelf area of the russian part of the Arctic Region.
